Manhattan
2 oz Voliere Rye
1 oz sweet vermouth such as Cocchi Vermouth di Torino or Carpano Antica
2 dashes bitters--Angostura aromatic bitters are a classic choice
Add all ingredients to a mixing glass, then top halfway with ice. Stir gently using a stirring spoon until desired dilution is reached, then strain into glass using a julep strainer. Garnish with either a Luxardo cherry or expressed orange peel, and serve up or over rocks.
